Working from home can be stressful, juggling work life, working at less than ideal desks, childcare and more can mean self care is so important.

Research shows that humans naturally move from full focus and energy to physiological fatigue every 90 minutes, so once a week we offer our signature 23onMe session for the public, and once a month, we offer a free class: 15:15 which is fifteen moves to make you feel better at the desk.

If you know anyone experiencing work stress, we invite you to spread the love and invite them to join our next free session: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/106442301790

Meanwhile, we have a suggestion when taking your break this week, to take a walk in nature, and here is why:

Research shows that trees have many healing powers including:

Trees release antimicrobial essential oils, called phytoncides, that protect trees from germs and have health benefits for humans.

A tree has the ability to provide an essential of life for all living things on our planet: oxygen, and the power to remove harmful gases like carbon dioxide making the air we breathe healthier.

Hugging trees increases levels of the hormone oxytocin in humans. This hormone is responsible for feeling calm and emotional bonding. When hugging a tree, the hormones serotonin and dopamine make you feel happier.

Grounding happens when we are in nature: Grounding refers to making direct contact with the earth’s electrical energy, which allows us to feel better. The surface of the earth is loaded with negatively charged electrons. When we come into contact with the earth’s surface, our bodies absorb this energy, which in turn neutralises damaging free radicals that exist within our bodies.

Great reasons to get outside today and maybe even hug a tree! ❤️ 🌳
